Lane Durgin was born in Maine and as the son of a Naval Officer was raised and schooled in various locations in the United States. He graduated from Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH. Lane joined the Central Intelligence Agency in 1954 and served with the Agency's Office of Communications both in the United States and abroad supporting its worldwide staff and secure clandestine communications network until his retirement in 1985.
After retirement, Lane worked for Science Applications International (SAIC) for five years as Manager of an Engineering and Support Team on a highly classified U S Government National contract. From 1990 until he fully retired in 1996 Lane worked with his daughter as Vice president of her newly acquired specialty advertising firm. In 1999 Lane was elected to the board of Directors of the Burgundy Hill Homeowners' Association, Incline Village, NV which consisted of 63 units in 3 three-story elevator buildings situated on eight acres of landscaped, lake view, mountain property. He served the board as its President for almost eight years. In September 2006 Lane left Lake Tahoe and now resides in Reno, NV. Lane has been an owner at Kihei Akahi since 1982 and spends four weeks per year at the condo. Lane has been a member of the Kihei Timeshare Owners Association board of directors since 2006 and is currently the Vice President of the Board. His goals are to ensure that the Association stays in good financial health and the property has the best quality management and maintenance to keep it a first class destination for its owners.
